Building loyalty through talent retention
Only 19% of employers have put measures in place to prevent the loss of Baby Boomer skills (Lindegren, 2015). Are you among those who have not considered this?
Within its Talent Management team, Progress Consulting has been helping organizations to put the right person in the right place for 25 years. In addition to our historical solutions in training, knowledge transfer strategy and succession planning, mentoring programs between juniors and seniors, we add a new way to help you meet your strategic challenges: the implementation of collaboration after retirement!
How dangerous is retirement?
What happens when a person approaches statutory pension age? What happens when that person actually retires?
With its senior experts leaving, the company loses its know-how, its knowledge, its soft skills, etc.
How can we keep the link with these “knowledge keepers”, i.e. employees with institutional memory? How can we recycle the intelligence, knowledge, and expertise of people who are pre-retired / retired and who still want to remain active and put their unique expertise to good use?
What if post-retirement collaboration was possible?
Our visionary idea is to set up a post-retirement collaboration model by creating a pool of retired senior experts to provide technical, managerial and support services to companies on an ad hoc basis, regardless of their profession.
The aim is to allow access to this knowledge, and to preserve access to knowledge, memory, skills and to put the very specialized experience of these senior experts back on the market.
